Top Spring® Antibacterial & Water Quality Enhancement System
Achieve unprecedented levels of air and water quality in your swimming pool— while protecting the health of every swimmer!

Certified by the third-party organization SGS Taiwan, samples were taken from the Yuteh International School swimming pool, which had approximately 350 users on the day of testing.  The results showed:

  • Residual chlorine: 0.04 ppm

  • Total bacterial count: < 5 CFU/ml

  • E. coli: < 1 (normal)

A residual chlorine level of 0.04 ppm indicates that only trace amounts of chlorine remained in the pool water. In comparison, the standard residual chlorine level for pools is typically 1–3 ppm. However, higher chlorine levels can cause the air to be filled with an unpleasant chlorine odor, which may lead to discomfort and potential harm to the human body over time.

With a total bacterial count of < 5 CFU/ml, far below the international pool standard of 500 CFU/ml, the Top Spring® system significantly outperforms traditional disinfection systems such as chlorine and ozone.

Chlorine is known for its pungent odor and potential irritation to the human body, When the residual chlorine in the pool combines with organic matter in the water—such as sweat, urine, and cosmetics—it produces disinfection by-products that can be harmful to human health. These by-products may cause eye and respiratory irritation, skin allergies, and, over the long term, may even increase the risk of cancer. Among them are volatile chloramines (responsible for the pungent chlorine odor) and trihalomethanes, both of which pose greater health risks than residual chlorine itself.  Ozone, on the other hand, has a short half-life of 3–18 minutes, limiting its effectiveness — often requiring an additional 0.5 ppm of chlorine to maintain proper disinfection. Moreover, ozone is a toxic gas that must be precisely controlled to avoid health risks.

This inspection report demonstrates that the Top Spring® Antibacterial & Water Quality Enhancement System not only improves the air quality within the pool area but also effectively protects the health and well-being of swimmers.

The standard residual chlorine level
for swimming pools is 1–3 ppm.
Government regulations specify that
the total bacterial count in pool water
must be less than 500 CFU/ml.

According to on-site testing by SGS,
the residual chlorine in the pool was 0.04 ppm,
and the total bacterial count measured from on-site water
sampling was less than 5 CFU/ml.
